Floor Flatness & Levelness Inspection

For Free Movement (FM) Floor Areas, PCE conducts inspections and assessments according to standards such as ACI, TR34, DIN 18202, BS 8204, and specific standards defined by automated warehouse systems, including Hai Robotics and Geek+.

  • ACI 117 & ASTM E1155 Standards, these are U.S. standards assessing two properties Flatness (FF) and Levelness (FL).
  • TR34 Standards: This is a British specification for assessing Free Movement (FM) floors. Two properties, Flatness (F) and Levelness (E), are collected by specialized rolling profiler equipment with an accuracy of 0.1mm

For Defined Movement (DM), the Floor Area is the operational zone for specialized forklifts, such as VNA, Autostore, Geek+, and Hai Robotics, where wheels always travel within fixed aisles.

  • VNA Warehouses (Very Narrow Aisle): DM (according to TR34) or Fmin measurement (according to ACI) is mandatory. Substandard floors will cause vibration, compromise forklift safety, and reduce operational efficiency.
  • Automated Warehouses: AMR and AGV units typically require high-level levelness for programmed movement.
